My name is Captain Chuck Uzzle and I want to welcome all of you to my page here at GavestonBay Charters.com. Sabine Lake and Lake Calcasieu are where I call home and I can't think of any other place I'd rather fish. Our abundance of different types of fishing is almost as good as the quality of fish we are so blessed to have in these areas. The vast marshes that stretch for miles are where I spend the majority of my time chasing "Cajun cruisers" in the skinny backwater lakes that dot the landscape. I also enjoy getting out in the open water of both bays and tackling trophy speckled trout as well. Here on Sabine and Calcasieu we offer you a variety of methods to choose from and we enjoy customizing trips to fit angler ability and expectation. I have been guiding on these waters for over 15 years and I still enjoy finding new things and fishing with new people. Regardless if you want to anchor up and relax or stand on the custom made casting platform and chase your fish we can handle the style and will do our best to make sure your day on the water is as good as we can possibly make it. We encourage anglers to bring their kids because they are the future of our sport and they are a lot of fun to have in the boat as well.
