Hello, I'm Captain Shawn Warren and have over 15 years experience fishing the Galveston Bay Complex. I've fished in many tournaments over the years with over 35 wins to my credit. Whether you are a novice or avid angler, I provide instruction and how to's that will last you a lifetime. Although jetty and deep water structure fishing within Galvston Bay are my forte, I can wade a shoreline with artificials, fish the spoils along the channel or drift the midbay reefs also. I fish out of a 2007 26' Robalo w/twin 250 Yamaha outboards, equipped with GPS, XM satellite radar, depth finder and VHF radio. All tackle is furnished including rods, reels and artificial bait. Live bait is extra. I make it a priority to make your trip a memorable experience and seek to give you a thrill of a lifetime.

You know that is what I love about the Jetties, you just never know what your going to catch. I had two trips yesterday, and they were great! My morning trip was with Vance and his girlfriend Nina, this was there Fourth trip with me this year and what an action packed morning. We had close to a limit of solid fat 3-5lb trout and what I call tournament reds, thick big backed 26-28 inch fish. We also had several sheepshead and eater size black drum, not much time for the Captain to fish I was baiting hooks and netting fish from the minute we dropped anchor until we pulled hook. My afternoon trip was with Jaime his father Jack who came in from Georgia and good friend Scott, we returned to the same spot 2 hours later I was suprised it was still available we had several boats waiting to jump in on us that morning, but thankfully they had moved on by the time I returned. It was not long before the reds began pounding our baits. These guys where all about catch and release and it did not hurt my "hands" feelings one bit. The trout were a little late to the party, but we ended up with one 16 inch Fish and his momma who was close to 8lbs. She came up on top and then ran right between both motors and unfortunatly she never slowed down. Oh well she would have been released anyway and we got to take a good look at her. I'll begin this report by saying how grateful I am for the wind and the direction it is blowing, and I hope it continues. Anything and everything to keep that oil away from Texas. My heart goes out to all who are fighting this great mess and I pray for the best. As for the fishing in Galveston Bay it has been excellent despite the wind yesterday we ended up with 12 trout 1 over size red and 2 black drum, not one of our better days but my best friends Dad, Gene Thompson and part of his home building sales team had a blast. Nathan what a great catch there at the end! All Nathan talked about all morning was catching "Big Red". Fortunately we were catching trout out of the wind but this is not where I have been catching my red fish, It turns out Nathan and I grew up in the same small town in North Texas, so as usual I could not resist I want to make my customers as happy as possible. We have been catching 10 plus slot reds the past 2 months at the "rocks" so I made sure no one minded rocking and rolling a little, or a lot for the last hour. Well it paid off after losing a line smoking red right at the boat and then having a trout that looked like a submarine spit the hook Nathan finally got his "Big Red" way to go and way to be persistent and not give up!
